1. Acceptance of terms
By creating an account or using DocFound ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Description of service
DocFound is a document management SaaS that allows you to upload, store, search, and organize documents. The Service includes text extraction (OCR) and automated analysis of document content. We provide both free and paid subscription tiers.
3. Your account
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You must provide accurate information when registering.
- Individual Use: Accounts are for single individuals. Sharing credentials is prohibited.
- Team Accounts: For collaborative use, you must use a Team account. The Team Owner is responsible for all activity and billing associated with the team.
- Age Requirement: You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service.
4. Payments and Subscriptions
- Billing: Payments are processed through our third-party provider, Creem. By subscribing, you agree to their terms and authorize the collection of fees for your chosen plan.
- Subscriptions & Renewals: Paid plans renew automatically unless cancelled. You may cancel your subscription at any time through the application’s billing settings.
- Trials: Certain plans may include a trial period. We reserve the right to skip trials for users with a previous paid history.
- Refunds: Except as required by law, paid subscription fees are non-refundable.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Upload illegal, harmful, or infringing content.
- Attempt unauthorized access to other users' data.
- Reverse engineer or scrape the Service.
- Use the Service for any purpose that violates applicable laws.
6. Your content
You retain ownership of the documents you upload ("Your Content"). You grant DocFound a limited license to store, process, and display Your Content solely to provide the Service. You are solely responsible for the legality and accuracy of Your Content.
7. Automated Processing
The Service uses automated optical character recognition (OCR) and third-party Large Language Models (LLMs) to analyze your documents. You acknowledge that:
- LLM-generated output (such as descriptions, tags, and entity extractions) is probabilistic and may occasionally be inaccurate or incomplete.
- You are responsible for verifying any critical information processed by the Service.
- You should not upload documents containing information you are legally prohibited from sharing with third-party processing services.
- If we incorporate other automated processing technologies in the future, we will update these terms accordingly.
8. Team accounts
Documents uploaded to a team workspace are accessible to all authorized workspace members. The team owner controls membership and access rights. DocFound is not responsible for disputes regarding data access within a team.
9. Service availability
We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may modify or suspend the Service for maintenance or updates (e.g., maintenance mode) at any time.
10. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or fail to pay subscription fees. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases.
11. Disclaimer of warranties
The Service is provided "as is." We do not warrant that the Service will be error-free or that results from automated processing will be 100% accurate. Use of the Service is at your own risk.
12. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, DocFound shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including loss of data or profits, arising from your use of the Service.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which DocFound operates. Any disputes shall be resolved in the competent courts of that jurisdiction.
